A HOSPICE has raised more than £11,000.
Rossendale Hospice hosted their annual ladies lunch last Friday.
This lunch was attended by 175 ladies who raised £11,400 for the hospice.
The event took place at Nino’s Restaurant in Rawtenstall where prizes were auctioned off to raise money for the hospice.
The event was organised by a small group of volunteers called the Special Events Committee, who were also supported by CFH Design.
Sam Morris, Hospice Fundraising Manager said: “The Hospice is delighted that the event raised just over £11,000.
"It’s a brilliant result for the ladies who put in the hard work to organise this fantastic day which is enjoyed by everyone who attends.
"It is also of great benefit to the patients at the Hospice, who receive care thanks to the generosity of everyone involved.”
The Hospice provides day therapy to people in Rossendale living with a life limiting condition. The Hospice at Home nurses care for people at the end stages of their life in their own home, 24 hours a
day, seven days a week and during the festive period.
