A CAMPAIGN has been launched by a council to support small businesses in their communities.
Rossendale Council is backing Small Business Saturday UK, a not-for-profit, grassroots campaign which exists to support, inspire and promote small business on the first Saturday in December each year and beyond.
The campaign encourages businesses to promote themselves and work with others to ‘shop local’ as well as support small businesses in their communities.
Throughout the day on Saturday, Rossendale Council will be posting a series of short video clips on social media highlighting local businesses from a variety of sectors by the people who own and run them.
The owners involved will talk about why Rossendale is a great place to work and why they feel so strongly about the local small business community.
Organisations from the likes of Haslingden, Rawtenstall and Whitworth will all be showcased.
If you would like to get involved on the day follow the council’s social media accounts and use #SmallBizSatUk
Follow Small Business Saturday on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and via the web.
