A NEW date has been added for residents to get a glimpse of the future of Rawtenstall town centre.

The Rossendale Together Barnfield (RTB) Partnership have asked for residents’ views on the next phase of the Spinning Point development.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 14 at Longholme Methodist Church between 10am to 12pm.

There has been a lot of ideas for phase two of the scheme including new housing and a hotel and the sessions have been designed to bring residents up to speed with what is happening.

Councillor Andy McNae, Portfolio holder for Regeneration and a member of the RTB Board, said:

“Residents’ views are very important because we want to create a town centre that everyone in Rawtenstall and Rossendale is delighted with and can be very proud of.

“We have a good track record of bringing in new investment and we will continue to do that.”

A digital session through Facebook is also planned and will take place on October 12 between 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
