A MAN arrested over the death of a mother-of-two remains in hospital, police have confirmed.
The 39-year-old man, 25-year-old Leanne Collopy, and a 23-month-old girl were rescued from a late-night blaze in a house in Burnley Road, Loveclough.
Ms Collopy was found to have suffered a stab wound and never recovered from her injury.
The 39-year-old, who the Lancashire Telegraph understands to be the toddler’s father, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the incident which happened at around 10.45pm on July 30.
