THREE fire crews were called out to a grass fire on a patch of land above Stacksteads.
The incident happened at 1.30pm.
It was the second time in 24 hours appliances had to be sent to the location above Stackstead and Bacup near Lee Mill Quarry on Newchurch Road.

Crew manager Steve Morley, from Bacup fire station, said: "Three appliances from Bacup and Rawtenstall fire stations, including a special soft-track one, were sent to 300 square feet of grassland on fire.
"The fire took four hours to put out and was the same spot where we were called out on Sunday afternoon."
