DRIVERS are facing long delays on the A56 after a car was flipped onto its roof.

The incident occurred on the Edenfield bypass at around 9.30am and has led to traffic problems near Haslingden.

Police said that the issues have been caused by an overturned car and officers from Greater Manchester Police attended the scene.

No lanes are closed but traffic is very slow and there is congestion on the road leading to the Rising Bridge roundabout.
