A PENSIONER has been taken to hospital with serious head and leg injuries after being hit by a van in Acre.
The 69-year-old woman was hit by a white Peugeot Boxer as she crossed Pilling Street at around 5.30pm this evening.

She suffered two broken legs, two broken ankles, a head injury and a suspected pelvis injury.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital by ambulance.
No arrests have been made.
A road closure was put in place while the woman was treated and investigation work was carried out by police.
Any witnesses are asked to call police on 101, quoting log number 998 of August 11.
