POLICE want to speak to the driver of a dark-coloured saloon car after a 61-year-old man was knocked over on a zebra crossing.
The Lancashire Telegraph reported last week how the man was left with rib and foot injuries following the incident on Market Street, Bacup, close to the junction with Union Street, at 6pm on December 3.
Now, police want to speak to potential witnesses.
A statement on the Rossendale Police Facebook page said: "Officers are now keen to speak with the driver of a dark coloured saloon car, similar to a Ford Mondeo (new shape) or Vauxhall Insignia and would urge the driver of this car to come forward as they may have valuable information about what happened.
"We are also keen to speak with the driver of a small white van that was travelling directly behind the black saloon car and stopped to provide assistance to the injured party."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log reference 1184 of December 3.
