POLICE are hunting a man and woman who entered a house and demanded money and gold. The incident happened at about 4pm on Sunday, November 15, when a man and a woman entered a house on Grange Avenue, Rawtenstall and demanded money and gold.
The pair threatened a 34-year-old woman, and her five children – all aged between five months and nine years old, before stealing a bracelet from her.
The victim then managed to run out of the address and shout for help, causing the pair to make off from the scene.
The bracelet was later recovered nearby.
The man was described as white, approximately 5ft 8in, aged in his late teens or early twenties, and was wearing a black balaclava, black fingerless gloves and dark clothing.
The woman is described as white, approximately 5ft 3in, with shoulder-length dark brown hair.
DS Tom Edmondson of East CID said: “This must have been a terrifying experience for the victim and her young children, who were present in the house at the time.”
