THIEVES prised open a window before breaking into a home and stealing jewellery.
The burglars forced open the ground-floor double-glazing at around 4.30pm on Wednesday, August 12, on Lane End Road in Bacup while the owners were out.
Sgt Damian Pemberton, of Rossendale Police, said: “Once inside the house the offenders carried out a search of the house and stole property including an 8oz 9carat gold neck chain valued at £2,000.
“If anybody has any information call Lancashire Police on 101 and quote log number 1086 of the 12th August.
