RAIDERS pulled the lock off a building site using a van in a burglary in Rossendale.
Two men drove a stolen H-registered white Transit van through the fence of a property on Haslingden Old Road in Rawtenstall before stealing tools worth thousands.
The audacious theft took place at 9pm on Monday, August 10.
Sgt Damian Pemberton, of Rossendale Police, said: “The offenders tied a chain or rope around a lock securing a storage container and used the vehicle to pull the lock off.
“They then stole equipment including a STIHL saw, two HILTI circular saws, two compacting plates, a generator and a poker motor valued at about £3,150 .
“If you have any equipment stored on any building site then please ensure that the site is secure and covered by CCTV. Please also ensure that all storage containers are secure, alarmed and that all equipment serial numbers are noted.”
