AN alert has been issued to parents at a Ramsbottom primary school after two boys were approached while walking home.
Texts were sent to parents of pupils at St Joseph’s RC Primary, after a man, thought to be aged 25 to 35, asked the pair to go home with him on Tuesday, July 7.

He is said to have touched one boy’s hair and tried to stop them from passing, even claiming a ‘dad’ had sent him.
He also threatened to say they had been smoking if they didn’t follow him, before they managed to flee.
Headteacher Mr Jim Graves said: “An incident that we strongly felt our parents at St Joseph’s should know about was reported to our parents via our text service.”
The man was thin, had short hair, was around 5ft 8in tall, with ‘big teeth’.
