A ROSSENDALE firm that develops specialist computer generated imagery has been backed by Rosebud Micro.

Short CGI has received funding and support from Lancashire County Council's Rosebud Micro finance to grow and develop their business.

The Rossendale-based company supports large companies' training and marketing departments with computer generated imagery, animation and interactive materials.

County Cllr Niki Penney, chair of Lancashire County Developments Limited (LCDL), said: "This is a specialist company, which is using innovative and advanced techniques to provide services for some very big names.

"We're delighted that Rosebud is able to help Short CGI to open up new areas of business and hopefully continue to build on their current success.

"We're looking for ambitious growing businesses, which are based in Lancashire or relocating here. Rosebud Micro could be the answer to unlocking new funding for your business."

Short CGI have been in business since 2008, but the team specialises in technical CGI for aerospace and defence and have been creating ground-breaking training and marketing material for industry leaders for nearly two decades.

Chris Guerin, managing director of Short CGI, said: "We are excited and have big plans in 2015. We feel the market is growing and this is now the time to expand so we can support our existing clients, whilst moving in to new markets of photo-real interiors for the kitchen and bathroom business market."
