A 43-year-old man appeared before Burnley magistrates, accused of 10 Haslingden-based internet sexual allegations.

Craig Leah is charged with three counts of causing or inciting a girl aged between 13 and 15 to engage in sexual activity, at Haslingden and elsewhere, on or between September 5, 2009, and October 4, 2011, and on January 4 and 11, 2013. Two of the alleged offences are said to involve penetration.

He also faces two allegations of causing a child aged between 13 and 15 to watch/ look at an image of sexual activity and one charge of attempting to cause a child under 13 - a 10-year-old- to watch/ look at an image of sexual activity, all on or between January 1 and 31, last year, at Haslingden and elsewhere.

Leach is accused of three allegations of possessing to show / distribute an indecent photograph of a child, at levels one, two and five -the most serious level - all at Haslingden, on August 30, last year.

The defendant is further charged with one count of possessing an extreme pornographic image portraying an act of intercourse with a live animal, at Haslingden, on August 30, last year.

Leah, of Roman Road, Blackburn, had his case sent to the crown court and he will face a preliminary hearing there on October 27.

The defendant was bailed on condition he does not have any unsupervised contact with anybody under 16 and does not have any contact with any animals.

He is not allowed to use or possess any device capable of accessing the internet unless it has the capacity to retain and display the internet history.
