A THUG said to have left his victim with a broken leg has been sentenced to two years and three months in prison.
Burnley Crown Court heard the victim was punched repeatedly by Luke Donoghue, 22, in alcohol-fuelled violence.
The incident, last August 28, was caught on CCTV, which was played to sentencing judge, Recorder Philip Curran.
Donoghue, of Alma Street, Bacup, had admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm.
He was on licence from a three-year sentence for assault causing actual bodily harm and has now been recalled.
The recall is due to end in July next year.
Philip Holden, defending Donoghue, said CCTV evidence showed there were a number of punches, but no kicks.
The barrister told the hearing: “It’s plain that each of the witnesses, the defendant included, had a lot of alcohol and are less than accurate.”
MrHolden said the victim broke his leg falling to the ground.
He added: “There was no follow-up assault when he was on the ground.”
