A WOMAN hit out at police dealing with what appeared to be a road accident in the early hours, Burnley magistrates heard.
The court was told Faye Samantha Ashworth, 28, was in a disturbance outside the Queens pub, in Rawtenstall, going up to officers and hitting out Ashworth apologised, said somebody had been bullying her brother and she had not meant to hit out at police.
The defendant, of Clegg Street, Haslingden, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour on August 16. Allegations of police assault and being drunk and disorderly on Queens Square, Rawtenstall, were withdrawn.
Ashworth was given a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £40 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
