A RIBBLE Valley pub has received one of the country's top accolades for the quality of its food.

The White Bull, Ribchester, has received a Bib Gourmand Award in the Michelin Guide 2008.

It is one of only 33 new entries in the guide, and the only new establishment in Lancashire.

Chef Chris Bell and his wife, Kath, have been running the pub for just over a year.

"We were shocked and delighted to find our name in the guide," said Chris.
