Smoke billows from garage blaze

A GARAGE was badly damaged after a fire broke out in the premises yesterday.
Firefighters were called to the commercial garage in Preston New Road, Mellor Brook, at 4.49pm.
Police said they had received several calls about the incident from passing motorists but that they did not need to close the road.
