THOUSANDS of homes in the Ribble Valley were left without electricity after a power cut.
United Utilities bosses said most of the 2,000 homes affected had their power reconnected within hours after they were cut off at 1.20am on Saturday.
But 200 houses in the Whalley area were without power for most of the day as engineers worked to fix the power station fault that sparked the problem.
A company spokesman said it was a "difficult" problem to fix.
