Man in court on wife attempted murder charge

A man charged with the attempted murder of his estranged wife has appeared at crown court.
Allan Murgatroyd, 61, of St Clarence Court, Pendle Street, Barrowford, was remanded in custody by the court in Preston until February 11, when he will enter his plea to the charge.
A trial date has been fixed provisionall for April 14..
Murgatroyd is accused of trying to murder his wife Linda in a knife attack at the Gisburn caravan park where she lives last month.
