Several schools across East Lancashire have been closed today, either due to flooding or a lack of heating.

Unity College in Burnley closed for the first time in eight years due to heavy rain covering Towneley Holmes, after the River Calder burst its banks.

Other schools affected were St Augustine's RC High School in Billington, Bacup Nursery School, The Oswaldtwistle School in Accrington - which will also be closed all day tomorrow - and The Coppice School in Bamber Bridge.

Another day off for the teachers? I don't believe it. I bet they tried REALLY hard to get in....NOT. They need to get a full time job like the rest of us.
