A HISTORIC grammar school will be holding a series of heritage open days this weekend.
Visitors will be able to visit heritage rooms and look at maps from 1757 to the present day at Whalley Old Grammar School, in Station Road, Whalley from , from September 7 to September 10 between 10.30am and 4pm each day.
Entry will be free and there will also be a range of documents and pictures to look at of Whalley Abbey, Whalley School, Cricket Club and a catalogue from WW1 and WW2.
Visitors can also view the 7ft 6 inch Whalley Abbey Estate map of 1874.
Historian Brian Jeffrey will be giving his illustrated talk on "The Padiham to Whalley Turnpike" and old roads, toll houses and guide stones on Thursday September 7 from 7pm to 7.30pm.
Price at the door for the history talk will be £3 and will include refreshments.
