DOZENS of dogs were treated to a mini-festival with the first Mooch with yer Pooch event held in the Ribble Valley on Sunday.
Around 60 dog owners turned out for the four-mile walk around Whalley, which started at the Langho and Billington Community Centre.
The pooches were then treated to a ‘puppicino’ - a tub of whipped cream with a dog biscuit - and salon treatments while owners relaxed with a beer and food.
Cheryl O’Reilly, who organised the event with Rachel Ramsey, said: “We just thought we would have a get together and invite a few friends and before we knew it there were people coming from all over. It turned into a mini dog festival.
“We’re hoping to do it more regularly and are thinking about a dog jog next time and making it bigger with children’s activities and musicians.”
She hopes there will be more on offer for the dogs next time too including Pawsecco and Bottom Sniffer - a type of doggy beer.
