Road closed in Ribble Valley after house falls off back of lorry
2:10pm Tuesday 2nd August 2011 in Sabden
By Peter Magill, Chief reporter
A rural road in Sabden was blocked today after a prefab house fell off the back of a lorry.
Police say the prefab was being transported through the village at around 11.35am when it came loose from its moorings in the Back Lane area.
Traffic was held up between Padiham Road and Whins Lane while attempts were made to remove the obstruction.
It took an hour and a half for the prefab to be removed by crane and traffic to move freely again.

It's another example of developers getting more houses in the Ribble Valley under the noses of the inept Ribble Valley Borough Council. Only another 2999 to go. The main road to Whalley or Barrow would have been much easier. Or were they going to Pendleton to put in in the backgarden of our MP to shame him into speaking out against the desecration of the valley?
The council are not inept. They are corrupt.
Ribble valley soesn't need anymore housing. It needs jobs.
