AN application has been submitted to Ribble Valley borough Council to build 14 houses and three bungalows in Sabden.
The applicants, P&D Developments, want to construct the homes on land to the rear of Pendle Street.
The proposed development would also see the construction of an access road.
Properties, businesses and St Mary’s RC School have until Tuesday June 11 to submit any objections to the council.
Sabden resident Adam Rodker, 66, said: “As long as the construction of the buildings does not cause a large amount of distribution and noise for this village then I’m fine with them being built.
“It’s not too many houses that it might place stress on the local infrastructure.
“I see no reason why anyone would object, apart from the people who live in Pendle Street.”
