EAST Lancashire's Celebrity Big Brother hopeful was pipped to the post in the show’s final, finishing in fifth position.

Read actor Lucien Laviscount, a former Ribblesdale High School Pupil in Clitheroe, had managed to escape eviction for three weeks but ultimately became the sixth victim of the public vote.

The bookies' favourite had been Jedward right from the beginning of the show, but the twin brothers only managed to come in third position.

‘Queen of the Jungle’ Kerry Katona was the last to be evicted leaving Big Fat Gypsy Wedding star Paddy Doherty as the winner.

The show moved to Channel 5 for the first time this series and managed to achieve higher ratings than had been expected.

It brought in an average of 2.6million viewers and a 12.1 per cent share of all TV viewers in its timeslot Lucien, 19, was known in the house for his persistent flirting with The Only Way is Essex's Amy Childs, but the Waterloo Road and former Coronation Street actor spoke of his embarrassment of having acted like a “love-sick puppy”.

“I feel like a muppet — I got shot down,” said Lucien who was left “heartbroken” when Amy turned him down saying that she “didn't fancy him” and that they were “just good friends”.

Lucien said: “It's like your parents telling you you're going to Disneyland Florida — then you find out you’re going to Disneyland Paris.”
