18-year-old dies in Longridge car crash

AN 18-year-old woman has been killed in a road crash last night.
Police said the local woman was driving a silver Peugeot 206 when she crashed into a wall in Lower Road, Longridge, near to the Spade Mill reservoirs at 11.15pm.
She was the only person in the car at the time and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for four hours while accident investigations took place.
No formal identification has yet taken place.
Police are in the process of contacting her next of kin.
