A THIEF who stole a caravan and crashed on the M6 has been jailed.
Anthony Robert Clarke, 27, stole a Land Rover and the caravan from a Longridge farm on February 4.
But it became detached when he drove at speed and the car flipped over.
Clarke, of no fixed abode but who is from the Burnley area, ran from the scene near junction 31 at Samlesbury. He was picked up by police nearby on the A59.
Clarke admitted aggravated vehicle taking and theft of a caravan and was jailed for 17 months.
He was banned from driving for two years.
