A MAN was punched to the floor and robbed by a gang of youths.
Police were called to Monks Drive, Longridge shortly before midnight last night after a 53-year-old man was punched and robbed by three youths.
A spokesman for Lancashire police said the man had been walking along Monks Drive when he was approached by the three young men who were wearing hoods.
The spokesman said the man was punched in the head and knocked to the floor before the gang took £40 in cash, a mobile phone and a packet of cigarettes from him.
The spokesman said: "The man had just been dropped off when he was approached by the three youths who had come from Eskdale Road.
"After punching him in the head, they stole £40 in cash, a packet of cigarettes and a Samsung phone.
"The three young men were described as 16 or 17 years old.
"An ambulance attended as the man was complaining of headaches.
"Enquiries are ongoing, anyone with any information should call 101 and quote log number 1623/23."
