THE fire service is continuing investigations into a major fire which seriously damaged a Grade II-listed building.
A blaze ripped through Alston Hall in Longridge last month and a large section of the Gothic-style building was destroyed.
Investigations have looked into whether the blaze was deliberate but at this stage the fire service has said there is no conclusion and the case will be left open.
The police have said they will have no further involvement in the case unless new evidence comes to light.
A fire service spokesman said: “We will be continuing in our investigations.
"There is no definite conclusion as to how this fire occurred.
"The case is being left open at the moment.”
