GRACE Davies rocked Blackburn as 2,000 excited fans watched her home coming gig.

The star is hoping votes from her home town can boost her chances of winning the X Factor title this weekend.

Ahead of her performance Grace said: “It has been wonderful coming back home.

"It's absolutely crazy seeing all the support I've received.

"When you're in the X Factor there's so much going on in and outside that world which makes you appreciate the support you get to see from my home town.

"I have missed the northern air."

On stage Grace sang four songs and mentor Sharon Osbourne even made an appearance declaring: "I love Blackburn!"

Cllr Phil Riley, Blackburn with Darwen Council’s executive member for regeneration, said: “We were delighted to have Grace back in town and the rest of the X Factor team including, of course, the world famous Sharon Osbourne.

“It’s been great for the town and created a lot of excitement seeing such home grown talent.

“Everyone who has been at tonight’s concert needs to vote again for Grace at the weekend and must get their families and friends voting as well.

"Good luck Grace.”

Rachel Schofield, 17, who lives in Rawtenstall, said: "I have been properly excited to see her.

"I followed her journey on the X Factor.

"What I really like about Grace is her originality.

"She is just amazing."

Kelly O' Hare, who lives in Langho and attended the event, said Grace sang at her wedding with husband Daniel in April this year.

Mrs O' Hare said:" She was absolutely amazing.

"Seeing where she has got to now makes me very emotional.

"Go Grace."

Early today Grace visited many of her old haunts including the pub where she used to work The Feildens Arms in Feniscowles and her old school, Feniscowles Primary.

The X Factor cameras were in town to follow the former warehouse worker and capture footage for the weekend’s final.

Feilden Arms landlady Beverley Holgate-Johnson said: "It was absolutely amazing.

"All the camera crew were there ordering pizzas and cheering on Grace.

"It was tremendous and the support Grace received was incredible."

A Feniscowles Primary School spokesman added: "Thank you to Grace for stopping at Feniscowles this afternoon.

"Grace spent a lot of time with he children.

"It was a special and exciting day for all."
