A MAN whose brother has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease is set to host a gala evening for charity after completing a cycle from London to Paris.
Tim Dobie, who lives in Old Langho, raised £5,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association by cycling to Paris in three days at the start of June.
His brother Robin, 37, is suffering from the degenerative, incurable and terminal disease that affects around 5,000 people at any given time in the UK.
Tim said: “While we’ve designed a really fun evening, the gala dinner will hopefully also make more people aware of the disease, and critically, help to fund development of a cure.”
The gala evening, to be held on Saturday, June 29, at Ewood Park, Blackburn, will include a three-course dinner, silent auction and live entertainment.
