GISBURN Festival Hall has been officially reopened following an extensive refurbishment.
Ribble Valley mayor Coun Richard Sherras led the re-opening ceremony and then attended a civic reception in the hall.
Work on the hall included installing an energy efficient air-sourced heat pump, under-floor heating, insulation, new flooring and redecoration.
The project was funded through grants including from the Rural Development Programme for England, Lancashire Environmental Fund, Ribble Valley Borough Council.
Giles Bridge, chairman of Gisburn Festival Hall, said: “It was really good to see the hall full with the guests of Coun Sherras, enjoying a delicious lunch.
“Gisburn now has a modern and environmentally sustainable hall, which means it’s future as a community asset is secure.”
