THE 3M manufacturing plant at Clitheroe has won a second President’s Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
The accolade comes after the Upbrooks site achieved a total of 11 consecutive RoSPA gold awards in the organisation’s annual occupational health and safety scheme.
RoSPA award manager David Rawlins congratulated 3M on its outstanding success.
He said: “The RoSPA Awards programme provides well-deserved recognition for the winners and spurs on other organisations to raise their standards of accident and ill health prevention.”
Stephen Hanna is the safety, health and environmental engineer at the site.
He added: “We are really proud of our safety record here at Clitheroe, and gaining this award for the second time highlights the efforts that all of our employees have put in during the past year.”
