AN investigation is underway into the cause of a large rubbish fire.
Firefighters were called to the incident at land off Lincoln Way in Clitheroe at around 2.30pm.
They were in attendance for almost 90 minutes before they completed extinguishing the fire shortly before 4pm.
Two fire crews from Clitheroe and one from Great Harwood attended the scene.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "We are currently unaware of the cause and it is under investigation.
"It was quite a large fire in the open but the crews managed to extinguish it using hose reels.
"The fire was extinguished and they left around 3.50pm.
"Nobody was injured."
