A CHURCH rang out with the sound of carols, musical ensembles and festive readings as part of a school's annual carol service.
Clitheroe Royal Grammar School held their annual service of readings and carols at St Mary Magdalene’s Church, in Church Street, Clitheroe last night.
Families, students, staff and the community met together to share a celebration of both the festive period and the musical talent within the school.
Contemporary readings were blended with the more traditional and the congregation enjoyed performances by musical groups and the Clitheroe Royal Grammar School choir.
After the service, Year 7 Christmas assistants donned festive head gear to treat guests to a mince pie, kindly donated by Sainsbury’s in Clitheroe.
A collection at the close of the service raised a wonderful total of £590 for local charity, Child Action North West.
