A CAKE artist has created two spectacular Christmas cakes for charity.

Rose Dummer aka Rosie Cake Diva, from Clitheroe, was commissioned by national retailer Oak Furniture Land to create a Rudolph Reindeer cake to celebrate the opening of the retailer’s 90th store in Rugby, Warwickshire, and to support St Andrews Church Rugby’s Christmas fundraising concert, attended by 300 people.

The 3ft Rudolph Reindeer cake, which features Rudolph tangled in a set of Christmas lights, is made of chocolate and took three days to make.

The decorations are made entirely of icing with Rudolph painted using edible colours.

The second cake features Mr and Mrs Clause ‘at home’ relaxing ahead of the busy Christmas Eve.

Rose was commissioned to create the cake as part of the celebrations for the opening of Oak Furniture Land’s first store in Guiseley, Leeds, and to support St Gemma’s Hospice Guiseley Charity Shop’s Christmas fundraising.

The 3ft Mr and Mrs Clause is a chocolate orange cake, which serves 200 people.

The decorations are made of a combination of chocolate orange cake and icing.

Rose said: “It was fun making Mr and Mrs Santa Clause in cake, and great to work on all the details.”

Slices of the confectionary creation were shared with visitors to the St Gemma’s Hospice Guiseley Charity Shop.
