The Prince of Wales will arrive in Clitheroe on Tuesday, March 21 for a tour of the town.

He will arrive at the railway station and chat to business owners and traders who regularly take part in the popular Clitheroe Food Festival.

Road closures will be put in place from 7am, including in Castle and King Street, Lane, and New Market Street to the car park.

The heir to the throne's last East Lancashire tour was when he joined The Queen and Prince Philip on a visit to the Weavers’ Triangle regeneration site in Burnley in 2012.

From 6am, parking will not be permitted in Moor Lane, Castle Street, King Lane taxi rank, King Street, Market Place and New Market Street, as far as the car park.

At around 9.45am Moor Lane and Parson Lane will also be closed

Railway View Avenue will be access only from Railway View Road.

It is anticipated that normal service will return around 11.30am, although Castle Street which will remain closed until early afternoon.

The prince, 68, will also visit BAE Systems Academy for Skills and Knowledge in Samlesbury.

He will meet staff, students and school children while exploring the facility.
