THOUSANDS of visitors flocked to the annual Chipping Steam Fair over the weekend.
The annual event, now in its 12th year, regularly attracts around 10,000 visitors to the Green Lane showground.
Stream enthusiasts were able to marvel at the collection of hundreds of engines, with a 100-year-old Foden Showman’s Engine proving especially popular.
And the youngsters enjoyed the various fairground rides including a bouncy castle, climbing wall and trampoline.
The fair, which is now hailed as one of the North West’s top annual attractions, began as a one-off venture in 1998 arranged specially to raise funds for a new village hall.
