A CARAVAN site has struck gold for its green credentials in the prestigious David Bellamy Conservation Awards.
The Hackings Holiday Caravan Park, Billington, picked up first prize for its new solar energy system, innovative signage, butterfly garden, woodland trail, and recycling scheme.
Park owner Linden Hacking said: “We are delighted our contribution to the local environment has been recognised.”
It will collect its award from Professor Bellamy next year.
