A RIBBLE Valley store has announced which charity it will be supporting this year.
The Original Factory Shop, in Shawbridge Street, Clitheroe, has announced it will continue to fundraise for the Meteor Club, a charity which supports people with learning difficulties from all over East Lancashire.
The store chose the charity following an appeal to the community to nominate local causes for their support as part of its Make a Difference in Your Community campaign.
A programme of fundraising activity is now planned, with a minimum target of £500 to be raised.
Store manager Beverley Owen said: “It wasn’t an easy decision at all, but after considering each application thoroughly, we thought that it would be great to carry on with the work we started for The Meteor Club last year.
“I’m sure our customers will once again be right behind us and help us raise much-needed funds for what is a very worthy cause.”
