ARTISTS can show their craft by painting famous faces on a brush as part of an artistic event later this month.
Bosses at Clitheroe Castle have invited people to take part in the Great British Brush Off on June 24.
Novices or art experts can take part in the art event, where they will be able to create their own face or a famous person on a brush.
Brushes will be issued on the day or people can bring their own, organisers have confirmed.
The event will be run by local artist Adrienne Seed, the winner of the annual Ribble Valley Open exhibition 2017 and she will be choosing a winning brush face at the event.
Adrienne's work is currently being exhibited in the Steward's Gallery as the prize for winning the main Selectors' Choice award of the Ribble Valley Open exhibition. This event will take place to coincide with the last day of Adrienne's work being showcased
County Cllr Peter Buckley, Lancashire County Council's cabinet member for community and cultural services, said: "This event should be great fun for adults and children alike.
"I hope that people do come along and be creative in a light-hearted way."
There is a cost of £2 to take part in the event, which will be held on Sunday, June 24 from noon to 4pm.
