A WARNING has been issued by firefighters after a pan fire.
Firefighters from Clitheroe and Great Harwood attended the blaze at a house in West Bradford Road in Waddington at around 2.45pm.
Fire crews said the incident involved a pan in the kitchen and they used a portable fan to clear the smoke.
Although nobody was injured in the incident firefighters issued a warning about the dangers of fires starting during cooking.
A fire service spokesman said: "We would like to stress how important it is to not become distracted and leave cooking appliances unattended whilst cooking.
"In the event of a fire in a kitchen, or any room within a property, it is important to leave the room, closing the door behind you to prevent fire from spreading.
"Leave the property immediately and contact the fire service."
