AN East Lancashire singing star is preparing to take on the UK.

Grace Davies, who came runner-up in the X Factor finals, is in final rehearsals for the start of the tour, which begins in Belfast tomorrow.

The 20-year-old songstress has been working hard on her material alongside series winners Rak-Su, Kevin Davy White, Lloyd Macey, The Cutkelvins, Matt Linnen and wildcard Sean and Conor Price.

Starting in Belfast, the tour will travel to Dublin, Cardiff, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, London, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Liverpool, Glasgow, Sheffield, Leeds, and Brighton.

As well as seeing your favourite acts, there’s an added twist in store, too.

Every night, the audience will get to become judges, choosing their own winner at the end of every show.

Competition will be fierce each and every night, and the X Factor’s online presenter Becca Dudley will be on hand to introduce the acts and announce the winner.

And ahead of the national tour, Grace, the former barmaid, took to Facebook to reminisce on how far she’s come after writing her first song, Roots.

She said “A year ago today I wrote a song. A song that gave me hope, peace of mind, showed me a way and changed my life.

“Today, exactly a year later, I’m rehearsing for a national arena tour where I will be performing this song.

“Happy first birthday, Roots.

“You will forever be my favourite.”
