A YOUTH club will use a grant to help make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in a borough.

Spring into Phab, based in Clitheroe, have announced that BBC Children in Need has awarded them a grant of £11,936 over three years.

The funds will be used to brining in an activity worker and help to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the Ribble Valley.

The grant will fund a lead activity worker for six hours a week over three years and create a new service to improve the physical health and well-being of participants, by providing a safe environment for young people.

Ronan Fitzpatrick, chairperson of Spring into Phab, said: “We could not reach out to the young people in the Ribble Valley without the support of BBC Children in Need.

"This grant will go on to change the lives of so many young people and give them the support they need.”
