A HARRY Potter themed cafe leaves revellers spellbound.

David and Christine Moore of the Sanwitches cafe, who live in Sabden, moved from their existing site on Whalley Road seven weeks ago to the former mill and Pendle antiques shop on Watt Street, Sabden.

Cafe bosses decided to move somewhere else where they would have a stable future, looking in places as far as out as Clitheroe.

The owners 'jumped' at the chance to move to the new premises and hope it will boost the cafe's business.

The Watt Street cafe, which can seat up to 32 people, includes the main cafe area and a downstairs Harry Potter room. not only has a unique 'magical' selling point.

The Harry Potter room includes flags and wands from the films, Daily Prophet newspapers, Gringotts stickers, an empty bird cage and a life size recreation of Platform 9 and 3/4.

Christine Moore, who co-runs the cafe, said: "I have wanted to do this for years but it was too difficult to do in the last place because it was too small.

"We are all huge Harry Potter fans and watch it two or three times a week.

"The kids love it. My little boy came in the first day and absolutely adored it.

"One little lad came in and started playing around with the wands and shooting spells at people.

""We are a little isolated village and it's good to see a lot of local people in the village come in and sit with their friends."

The cafe owners also sell 'butterbeer' milkshake which one customer described as better than the one they had at Harry Potter London tour.

David Moore, who co-runs the cafe, said: "We're all Harry Potter fans and thought it would be a nice idea.

"The customers have had a brilliant reaction and love it.

"People have come in to the cafe just to take photos of the Harry Potter flags.

"We have a life size of platform 9 and 3/4 which looks exactly like the one in the film.

"In the coming weeks we hope to get a Hedwig owl to sit in the empty bird cage too.

"So there's more to come but our big priority thought has been getting customers in through the door but now we are back."

Cllr Richard Newmark, who represents the area, said: "The couple who run the place are amazing and very people friendly. and all the food they sell is locally produced and is absolutely fabulous."
