A BRITAIN'S Got Talent star from the Ribble Valley is set to launch her own performance school.

Ella Shaw's Academy of Arts will be providing coaching and guidance in music, dance and drama for children age 10 to 18.

The singer is launching the programme at The Grand in Clitheroe starting in January next year.

Miss Shaw is most known for her appearance on Britain's Got Talent in 2015 and has performed alongside artists such as Olly Murs, The Wanted and Rudimental.

She has been performing on stage since the age of 11 and released her debut album 'Imperfections' last year.

The 20-year-old said: "I just wanted to open the doors for young people and young talents.

"I wanted to keep the arts going and give more opportunities for young people.

"I absolutely love teaching others, it really inspires me to keep going with my own career."

Established dance teacher Grace Avery and former drama lecturer Kathryn Maye will be teaching on the course, alongside Miss Shaw who will be the singing coach.

It will run on Saturdays during term time starting January 13 2018 from 10am until 1pm.

Open and enrolment days will be held on November 4 and December 9 from 10am until noon to give people a chance to meet tutors and take part in two short classes.

Term fees are £23 per Saturday.
