A MUSIC TEACHER who has called X Factor star Grace Davies an ‘inspiration’.
The warehouse worker from Langho has become an early favourite to win the ITV talent show, the X Factor after she wowed the judges on opening night.
The 20-year-old received heaps of praise from Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Sherzinger after performing her own song, ‘Roots’, for the first time.
Grace’s own ‘roots’ can be traced back to when she attended St Leonard’s Church of England Primary School, Whalley Road, Langho more than 10 years ago.
Barbara Burton, music subject teacher at St Leonard’s Primary School, taught Grace in Reception and Year 3.
She said: “It is nice to see Grace grow into a music star. Hopefully she will be an inspiration for the children in our school and throughout Langho.”
