TICKETS are still available for a star-studded music festival which aims to use the power of music to bring the community together to fight a life-threatening disease.

Beats Cancer Music Festival 2017, which has been running for four years, will take place at Clitheroe Castle grounds from noon to 10pm tomorrow.

Beats Cancer, which was organised by a group of friends from Clitheroe who have all lost a relative to cancer, will be hosting the festival in partnership with online ticket outlet Skiddle.

All proceeds made from ticket sales will be donated to cancer charities Cancer Research UK and Macmillan Cancer Support.

More than 20 acts across four stages will be playing a mix of electronic music from house, funk, disco and techno.

British DJ and producer Judge Jules, will be joined by other legendary DJs Pete Tong and Sasha.

American-born British DJ and producer Secondcity, best known for his number one on the UK singles chart “I Wanna Feel,” will be another one of the headliners.

Alongside this there will be licensed bars, a variety of food and other stalls and entertainment.

Denny, who has played alongside some of the biggest names in dance music and all over world, will also perform a unique blend of house and techno.

One of the founders of Beats Cancer, Sara Rushton, said: “Beats Cancer aims to help beat the disease as well as dancing to the music beat.

“Last year 2,000 people attended the sell-out event and we are expecting a similar number this year.

“In our first year we had just one stage and now we have four.

“These artists, combined with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, live performances and a variety of food and drinks stalls will be sure to make it a fantastic day

“More importantly the day will help raise money for two amazing charities.”

Tickets will cost £22.50 each person and £5 for children under 12. Children aged between 12 and 18 will require an adult ticket.
