The A59 near Sawley
EMERGENCY services were called to a crash on the A59.
The incident involved a heavy goods vehicle tanker and a black Citroen C3 Picasso near the junction towards Sawley at around 10am.
It was reported to the fire service the vehicle was smoking, but when they arrived it was not on fire.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "We assisted the police in making the scene safe.
"The ambulance were there to check on the Citroen driver but he had no injuries."
